Quebec is almost entirely separate from from Canada. It has it's own culture, language and ethnicity. In spite of these differences, it continues to be a part of Canada. The solution to this is not to remove this part of it in order to homogenize Canada. I mean, it's not an illness or anything; it is just different.
Why does a Mexican in California care about this? Well, Republicans/racists assholes typically argue that the United States should have an official language to avoid civil strife. Well, I'm pretty sure that if Quebec breaks away from Canada, Republicans/racists assholes will be saying, "You see, this is why we should keep people from speaking Spanish!!! You know what, let's just trap them all, and sent them back to Mexico!"
To avoid Mexicans the heartache, hold on tight, Quebec!
